Refund Policy

At The Latin Merchant, we want every empanada and product you order to meet your expectations. Because our items are handmade and perishable, we have a few important policies regarding refunds, cancellations, and product care.

1. Reporting Problems or Quality Issues

Any problems (such as missing, incorrect, damaged, or defective items) must be reported within 7 days of receiving your order, before 4:00 PM (PST).

Issues reported after this timeframe are not eligible for refunds or replacements.

2. When Refunds Are Available

Refunds to your original form of payment may be issued if:

You received the wrong item(s).

Item(s) were missing from your order.

Item(s) arrived damaged.

3. Rescheduled Events or Deliveries

If an event or delivery must be postponed and you cannot receive your order, we may issue a gift card refund.

We make every effort to honor scheduled dates and times, except in cases of circumstances beyond our control.

4. Order Cancellations

Orders cannot be canceled or refunded less than 5 days before your scheduled pickup or delivery.

Cancellations made 5–9 days in advance may be refunded with a gift card.

Cancellations made 10+ days in advance may be refunded to your original payment method, or rescheduled to a later date.

5. Refunds Will Not Be Issued If:

You do not pick up your order during the scheduled timeframe.

Incorrect contact or delivery information was provided by the customer.

A problem is reported more than 7 days after receiving your order.

Product quality issues occur because of improper handling or storage after delivery.

6. Product Quality After Delivery

Our empanadas are fresh and perishable. To ensure quality after pickup or delivery:

Items should be reheated or frozen promptly according to the instructions provided.

We cannot guarantee product quality if items are left at room temperature for extended periods.

We cannot guarantee product quality if storage or reheating instructions are not followed.
